Additional Information: | 2019 -- HRL -- A one-and-one-half story, side gable bungalow, the structure is situated on the south side of the road and faces north. This house rises from a rusticated, concrete block foundation. It is sheathed with narrow, clapboard siding and all windows are double- oden surrounds. Corner boards emphasize the corners of the house. The roof has asphalt shingles and a generally centered, brick chimney. A heavy row of bushes obscures the house’s sun porch. The doorway is accessed by several steps and off-set to the center right (west). To the right of the door are three windows, all of which appear to be six-light-over-one. To the left of the door are four windows, two of which are six-lights-over-one and two of which are three-lights-over-one. Two additional windows on the east and west sides of the house illuminate the porch, those on the left (east) being three-lights-over-one. A plain board frieze is set immediately above the sun porch windows. That course, however, continues around the house and helps to visibly differentiate the first floor from the second. First and second floor windows on the east and west sidewalls are generally placed irregularly, all being either single or paired sashes. A one-story, flat-roofed addition projects to the south from the southeast half of the back of the house. Immediately south of the house is a gabled garage notable for the gabled roof dormer set in the structure's north roof plane (AHI #239025). the overhead door is set in the building's east end wall, above which is a centered, double-hung, one light-over-one window in the gable peak. Also notable on the north side wall is a frame with three, twelve light-over-one windows. Behnid the garage is a small, gambrel-roof barn with flared eaves that is oriented on an east/west axis (AHI# 239024). It is covered with a new, standing seam, metal roof and sided with horizontal board. The north side wall has a single door set to the right (west) center and flanked by two window openings. A lean-to addition is on the barn's south side wall. Immediately behind the barn, to the southwest, is a concrete silo. ALSO ON THE PROPERTY: AHI #239024 & AHI #239025 |
