Additional Information:HOUSKA PARK STARTED OUT AS ISLE LA PLUME PARK, SHORTLY AFTER THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT ON THE ISLAND WAS COMPLETED IN 1935 BY ALDERMAN JOSEPH HOUSKA. THE NAME CHANGED TO HOUSKA PARK IN 1937. THE OBSERVATION TOWER/PICNIC SHELTER WAS ADDED 1968, THE REST ROOMS ADDED 1981 AND THE DOG PARK ADDED CIRCA 2005. THERE IS ALSO A SOFTBALL PARK IN THE HOUSKA PARK.
