Originally built as the UW-La Crosse campus's first stand-alone library, after the construction of Murphy Library in 1974, the Wing Building housed early computer programming classes and communications. In 2001, the building underwent a significant renovation and addition, and was renamed the Wing Technology Center, housing the campus computer classes and the campus information technology support.
