Additional Information: | 2018 - This c.1940 gas station has a box-like form with a stepped parapet. The brick façade is three bays wide with stone quoins and door and window surrounds. The original façade configuration appears to have consisted of a central doorway flanked by a storefront window to the right (east) and a service garage to the left (west). The central door opening has been completely enclosed with standing seam metal. The same metal has been used to downsize the other openings, including converting the garage into the primary entrance bay with a modern aluminum-framed door and windows. A modern metal sign panel has been added across the façade above the openings. On the west side elevation is a one-story bathroom and storage room addition with a front jerkinhead roof. At the front of the property is a modern canopy with two two-sided pumps. |
