| Additional Information: | This two-story, vernacular, American Foursquare house was constructed c.1890. It is clad in wood siding and rests on a stone block foundation. The hip roof is covered in asphalt shingles. The gable dormers on the front (south) facade and side elevations feature decorative wood fish-scale shingles and paired, square, fixed windows. Windows are generally the original wood, one-over-one and double-hung. The front facade also features a two-story porch supported by wood posts. Two large picture windows with decorative transoms flank the entrance. The east elevation features a three-sided, projecting bay with two double-hung windows and a central picture window. It also features a second raised projecting entrance with replacement, one-over-one, double-hung windows. The property includes some agricultural buildings associated with the original farmstead, including a c.1900 front-gable barn. Other outbuildings include a c.2005 front-gable log cabin, shed, and multiple modern greenhouses. 2020: Two-story foursquare house; rock-faced concrete block foundation; clapboard siding; 1/1 wood sash windows; two-story porch; bay window addition on side elevation; hipped roof with large gabled dormers. |
