Additional Information: | Designed by the New York City architecture firm of Cordes, Sommer & Mihnos, this building was constructed by Wiggins Construction Company (Wauwatosa) in 1966 as the Gimbels-Schusters Auto Center. Associated with the Gimbels-Schusters Department Store in the adjacent Capitol Court Shopping Center (no longer extant), the store concentrated in selling tires. The auto center eventually became the Capitol Court Auto Center and a Firestone Auto Center in 1987 |
