2017- "Located just north of the city limits of Plymouth (and in the Town of Plymouth), this cemetery includes two pair of stone-veneered, driveway entrance gates, a single stone-sheathed post (all under AHI#234288), as well as a modern (1986) gabled and stone-veneered storage shed (#234290) . Aside from the gravestones, the cemetery includes a large stone sculpture of Christ on the Cross, with Mary at his feet, along with three other figures, all of which is on a stone-veneered base (#234289).

The history of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church goes back to 1861; however, the church and school building are modern structures, dating to 1987 and 1952 (with 1961 and 1998 additions), respectively. Both buildings are located west of downtown, near the western limits of the city of Plymouth, while the cemetery is situated just north of the city limits. Land for the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery was acquired in 1929. Although construction dates for the entrance gates/markers were not confirmed with the church, they are believed to have been built in the 1930s or early 1940s. As indicated above, the storage shed at the rear of the property was erected in 1986 (per the datestone on the building, which also states it was built in memory of John “Joe” Beck)."
