Additional Information: | GROUPED SEGMENTAL ARCH WINDOWS ABOVE CONTINUOUS SILL LINE In photo and/or map codes, (F) stands for Fox River Valley Survey. Negatives filed with survey project. NAER INVENTORY (06/1979): The Pulaski Canning Compny was organized in 1928 by a group of stockholders and directors of the Falls Canning Company of Oconto Falls. They first paid taxes in 1929. The company canned corn, green beans, potatoes and other vegetables. On July 18, 1962 the Pulaski Canning Company was purchased by the Sturgeon Bay Corporation, however, the Pulaski Canning Company retained its name. The financial position of the company did not improve. On March 23, 1963 creditors agreed to a long term liquidation of the company's inventory to a group of farmers in the Pulaski area. While the purchasers did business under the name Our Best, the real estate and chattel were in the names of Anton Slezewski and Bernard Walla. The building is constructed of tile and consists of two wings each 200' x 48', and a third wing 105' x 48'. Also included are an engine room and a boiler house. |
