NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property named 'Villa Louis'. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. This small water feature consists of a small artesian well that pumps water into a narrow serpentine-shaped channel that is set into the west lawn of Villa Louis and which is some 20-30-feet-long and is edged with small stones. It is believed that this is a 19th century landscape feature but it is not known if it served a practical purpose. If it did, it was apparently decided to make it a decorative landscape feature as well. This well is still functioning today. #12633 #12634 #12635 #12636 #12637 #12638 #12639 #234139 #234143 #234144 #234145 #234146 #234147 #234148
