Additional Information: | Cyrus Fockler in 1909 began the Milwaukee Gospel Tabernacle by holding tent meetings in downtown Milwaukee; a church building was soon found that was eventually razed to make room for the construction of I-43. The congregation then joined the Assemblies of God fellowship and continued to meet in Milwaukee until 1973 when it moved to Brookfield. The congregation, under the direction of Pastor Sam Peterson, hired contractor R. G. Knopp to build the subject church, which was soon renamed the Brookfield Assembly of God. The congregation again changed its name in 2005 to Victory International Fellowship. |
