Third home of the former Teutonia Avenue State Bank, which was founded in 1914 and renamed Milwaukee Western Bank in 1957. Designed by the Milwaukee architectural firm of Scott, Kloppenberg & Scott and built by Peters Construction Company, the $650,000 facility opened in 1958. A drive-through banking addition and interior renovation were completed in 1981 and the bank’s corporate headquarters were moved in 2006 from the subject building to Menomonee Falls. Milwaukee Western Bank renamed itself Securant Bank & Trust in 2008 and it continues operations at this location.
