Additional Information: | 2016- "This one-and-one-half-story vernacular house was constructed c.1915. It is of frame construction, sheathed in clapboard, and rests on a rusticated concrete block foundation. The hip roof features large gabled wall dormers with a central chimney and wide eave overhangs. Scalloped and diamond-shaped wood shingles decorate gable ends on the front (east) facade and side (north and south) elevations. Windows are mostly replacement, one-over-one, double-hung sash set in original wood surrounds; fixed lights and transoms flank either side of the central entrance on the facade. A shed roof porch with a dentilled cornice and classical columns spans the length of the facade. Additional decorative elements include a one-story bay with ornamental brackets and a small dormer with scalloped shingles in the gable end, both of which are located on the south elevation. A porch that was enclosed during the historic period extends from the south side of the structure. The property also features a c.1925, detached, three-bay garage that stands immediately west of the house." -"STH 22: STH 16-CTH CM/Barry Rd", WisDOT#6050-00-01, Prepared by Mead & Hunt, Inc.
