Additional Information: | 2016- "This two-story vernacular house with modest Queen Anne decoration was built c.1890. It is of frame construction, sheathed in clapboard, and rests on a stucco-covered foundation. Asphalt shingles cover the roof, which displays a wide eave overhang and two central brick chimneys. Fenestration consists of one-over-one, replacement, double-hung sash set in historic wooden surrounds that feature pedimented hoods and Eastlake details; projecting box bay windows on the front (west) facade and side (south) elevation are supported by decorative brackets. Additional ornamentation includes a one-story entry porch with an Eastlake frieze and turned supports, as well as diagonal wood cladding in the gable ends of the facade and south elevation. A two-story, c.1925 addition with vertical wood siding is located along the rear (east) elevation. A c.1925 detached hip roof garage with clapboard siding stands north of the house." -"STH 22: STH 16-CTH CM/Barry Rd", WisDOT#6050-00-01, Prepared by Mead & Hunt, Inc. (2016). |
