Additional Information: | 2016- This two-story vernacular house was constructed c.1900. It is of frame construction, sheathed in clapboard, and rests on a rubble stone foundation. The hip roof, covered in asphalt shingles, features multiple projecting gables with decorative diamond-shaped wood shingles and spindle-capped verge boards in the gable ends. It also has a central brick chimney. Fenestration consists of mostly paired, one-over-one, double-hung, replacement sash. Projecting bays, including a one-story cutaway bay, are located on the front (west) facade and side (south) elevation. A large hip roof porch with storm windows, which was enclosed during the historic period, stretches across the facade. Additionally, a small detached side-gable shed clad in horizontal wood siding is located east of the house at the rear of the lot. |
