Additional Information: | Findley Adhesives was founded by Frank Findley in Milwaukee in 1917 when he purchased the Wisconsin Paste Company. In 1956, the company relocated to Wauwatosa and constructed a large manufacturing and office building. The company developed a number of patents and processes for hot-melt adhesives during the second half of the twentieth century, many for labelling and packaging materials. The purpose-built plant was renovated in 1984. The F.G. Findley Company, also known as Findley Adhesives, was purchased by Bostik Inc., a French Adhesive Company, in 2000. The Wauwatosa location, serving both production and research and development purposes, was renovated again in 2005, including new windows along the main south-facing façade, and expanded in 2012. |
