| Additional Information: | The old Wauwatosa West High School was constructed in 1961. The old West Wauwatosa High School soon became insufficient for the rapidly growing population on the west side of Wauwatosa in the 1960s and was closed and converted into Whitman Junior High School in 1970. A new West High School was constructed just to the west at 11400 West Center Street the same year. The school presently has 589 students. |
