Additional Information: | The West Suburban YMCA was constructed in 1958 as a small community building, lacking the athletic facilities of many post-war YMCA facilities. The YMCA building was sold in 1972 when the institution moved to 2420 North 124th Street in Wauwatosa. The building was purchased by the Unity Church of Christianity in 1973. The interior rooms were remodeled and a chapel installed in the former meeting room. The church changed its name to Unity Church of Milwaukee in 1994. |
