Biographical information on the Enge family included in Dolbier, From Sawmills to Sunfish (1985), 291. includes photo of house. It does not indicate that they built the house. Per biographical information provided on Ancestry.com, Elizabeth Brown Collins (a widow) wed Lawrence Saxton (a widow) in 1931; he was a carpenter. As of 1941, the Saxtons are confirmed as living at 311 S. 4th Avenue; as of the 1940 census, they are simply listed at S. 4th Avenue. It is possible that Saxton (a carpenter) built the house in the mid-1930s; however, no one is confirmed as residing in the home until the Enges.
