Biographical entry for Phelps in Biographical History of La Crosse, Trempeleau and Buffalo Counties, Wisconsin, 1892, 348-49. Phelps was born on 4 July 1843 and died on 25 June 1917. As of 1892 he was not married but as of the 1900 census, he was married to Anna (age 40). Anna, born 5 April 1860, remained in the house until her death on 4 December 1940. |
