Bibliographic References:Assessor's records cite a 1952 date of construction. The first known owners of the house are Clarence N. and Amy Holte, as of the 1956 City Directory. The directory lists Clarence, Amy and son Clyde in the home. Clarence, who worked at Allis-Chalmers in La Crosse, died on 28 January 1963. Clyde, who in 1956 was identified as associated with Holte's Dairy Bar, owned by Clarence and Clyde, died in 1972 (obituary, The La Crosse Tribune, 10 May 1972, 3/1. Amy died on 19 March 1998.
