| Additional Information: | 2015- The c.1890 south headrace forebay dam is located on the south side of the powerhouse on one of the many islands in the Fox River. It was part of the original waterpower development at the site and, similar to the dam on the north side, is of limestone masonry construction. At some point after the City of Kaukauna purchased the property, the dam was faced with 12-inch-thick reinforced concrete that was secured into the bedrock. A c.1940 concrete trash sluiceway and concrete gravity section extends west from the southwest corner of the powerhouse and connects to the forebay dam. A c.1890 concrete-faced limestone masonry sluiceway located on the east side of the forebay dam connects to the c.1940 trash sluiceway and concrete gravity section The sluiceway is no longer in use and the three metal pipes have been closed. |
