Additional Information: | Sanborn maps and directories suggest that the one-story building was constructed before 1926 and was home in 1928 to a National Tea Company grocery store, while the two-story block was built after 1926 and housed Sam Riger’s fruit store. National Tea remained into the 1940s, while Riger’s concern had been replaced by the late 1930s with the Independent Packing House Market. The buildings appeared to have been unified in the late 1950s as an IGA grocery store. 2016- "Currently situated on a single parcel and displaying a modernized unified storefront consisting of rough-faced concrete block and small windows, the two adjoining Mediterranean Revival-style buildings at this location are covered with brick. The two-story building on the right (east) features on the second floor paired sets of thin, spiraled columns that rise to a plain stone cornice. Three windows openings between the columns are covered with plywood. Brick parapet blocks are positioned at both corners, which are connected by a tile-covered pent. Meanwhile, the adjacent building to the west (left) rises one story. A brick parapet outfitted with raised brick and limestone accents rests on top of the modernized storefront. Sanborn maps and directories suggest that the one-stoty building was constructed before 1926 and was home in 1928 to a National Tea Company grocery store, while the two-stoty block was built after 1926 and housed Sam Riger's fruit store. National Tea remained into the 1940s, while Riger's concern had been replaced by the late 1930s with the Independent Packing House Market.
