Additional Information: | 2015- This one-story, rectangular plan, c.1960 building was likely constructed as a drive-in restaurant. It is of concrete block construction and rests on a concrete slab. The building has a flat roof and is without an eave overhang except over the front (north) facade. The walk-up windows on the front facade and side (east) elevation include a fixed, aluminum sash paired with a double-hung aluminum sash. Other windows on the side elevation are vinyl awnings. The entry door on the side elevation is replacement aluminum. A c.1970 metal canopy supported by metal posts was added over parking in front of the facade. Fluorescent lighting illuminates the canopy and menu boards hang from the steel rafters. At an unknown time, a one-story, flat roof, three-season addition was added to the side (west) elevation. The addition features a series of double-hung windows and a screen entry door. An elevated pole sign is at the front of the property. The restaurant is a modest example of a mid-twentieth century commercial building. The addition to the side elevation impacts its historic integrity. |
