Additional Information: | 2021 - This fire station was built in 1973. It is a two-story Contemporary-style building with a rectangular footprint, brick and stone cladding, and a flat roof with a metal coping. The façade is dominated by two oversized garage doors. The east bay of the façade is clad in alternating rows of brick and metal windows on the west half and stone cladding on the east half with metal signage reading “COLUMBUS FIRE DEPT.” The stone cladding wraps around the east corner of the building, leading to the main entrance which is recessed along the northeast (side) elevation. Other windows are one-by-one vinyl replacements with stone sills and lintels, set between columns of stone cladding. |
