Additional Information: | 2014: This c.1905, two-and-one-half-story, vernacular frame house has a rusticated concrete block foundation, wood siding, and combination hip and cross gable roof. It features modest Queen Anne influences, including an irregular form and massing, decorative shingles in the gable ends, and a full-width open porch with a pediment and Doric columns. Windows are one-over-one replacement sashes. The gable end on the south (side) elevation contains a three-part picture window. A second open porch is located at the rear of the house, part of a one-story addition. The property also includes outbuildings. The only structure from the historic period is a c.1900 tobacco barn (AHI No. 229791). The remnants of a stone foundation were reused to erect a modern garage, and a large modern pole building and gambrel shed are located at the rear of the property. The property does not meet WisDOT’s farmstead survey criteria. 2020: Resurveyed - appearance unchanged. 2022: Appearance unchanged since 2020. |
