NOTES
Additional Information:The newly inventoried building is a single story Ranch appearing to date to ca. 1960. The footprint is generally
rectilinear, with the long axis oriented parallel toW. Knapp Street/ STH 48. A bay projects off of the southeast corner
and the attached garage is located on the east elevation. The walls are clad in random ashlar stone veneer. The hipped
roof has a shallow pitch, wide eaves, and asphalt shingles. A prominent stone chimney rises through the roof ridge on the
eastern end. The house has a W. Knapp Street address, but it is oriented to the south while the driveway and garage are
accessed via Linden Avenue on the east. The fenestration pattern consists of pairs and trios of six -light casement
windows, and picture windows with sidelights. The windows are placed high on the wall, directly under the eaves. Each
window includes a concrete sill. It displays some of the characteristics of Ranch houses of the period, such as
the shallow-pitched hipped roof, wide eaves, and asymmetrical plan.
