NOTES
Additional Information:2014- "The Waukau Grade School is a two-story, brick, Tudor Revival-style building constructed in 1926. It has a T-shaped footprint, concrete foundation, raised basement, and side gable roof. The symmetrical facade features a central, projecting, two-story, front gable entrance bay with a characteristic Tudor arch stone door surround. The date of construction is etched into the stonework. Above the door is a pair of one-over-one replacement windows and a stone nameplate with the words “Waukau Grade School.” The entrance bay is flanked on each side by two-level wood porches, which were likely added when the building was converted to a bed and breakfast after the school’s closure in the 1960s. Windows have been replaced with sliding doors to provide access to the porches. The basement level and second-story windows have also been replaced.

The interior of the building could not be accessed at the time of survey, but some room photographs are available online on the bed and breakfast’s website. The photographs suggest that the interior has been greatly altered. The rooms were completely redesigned when converted into bedrooms."
