Additional Information: | A 'site file' titled Everson Farmstead exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. 2014 Associated with The Everson Farmhouse (AHI No. 6993). This large wood silo is located at the junction of the two basement barns and is connected to both barns by shed-roof hyphens. The silo is approximately 30 feet in diameter, constructed on a stone foundation with balloon-framed walls sheathed in narrow horizontal wood siding, and is of the type described as a King silo or “Wisconsin silo.” [a] The conical roof features a small gable dormer on the southwest. A two-story shed-roof hyphen connecting the silo to the northernmost barn also shelters a doorway in the stone foundation that may have been used to unload silage. |
