It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. This two-story, commercial vernacular building was constructed in 1868 and was extended in 1899. It is clad in brick and has a flat roof with overhanging eave and simple cornice. A canted entry flanked by fixed-pane storefront windows with transoms and cast iron pilasters is centered on the front (north) facade. A metal string course spans the length of the front facade and separates the first and second story. The second-story facade features a simple brick belt course, replacement one-over-one, double-hung sash windows with transom decorative rounded arch hoods, and stone sills. |
