Bibliographic References: | SHOREWOOD BUILDING PERMIT FILES. Assessor's information cites a 1922 date of construction; however, this house is believed to have been built by George Schley & Sons based on an entry for plans for Dr. & Mrs. C.A. Fortier that were drawn in May 1923 in the Schroeder-Schley inventory on file at the Wisconsin Architectural Archive, Milwaukee Public (Central) Library, Milwaukee, WI. Plans would need to be compared to existing house in order to fully confirm but the Fortiers are listed as living at this address in 1923. |
