NOTES
Additional Information:2023: This 1-story Contemporary motel (the Maple Leaf Motel) was constructed c.1960. It is irregular in plan with brick walls and a flat roof with overhanging eaves and clapboard-clad fascia. The motel’s office block (and presumably, the manager’s suite) is located at the north end of the building and is separated from the motel rooms by a porte-cochere that is sheltered via an extension of the roofline that continues southward to form the roof over the main building mass of the motel so that the drive-through area visually resembles a breezeway. South of this is the long building mass containing individual motel rooms, each of which is delineated by a metal security door and a bank of three casement windows. An additional building mass containing motel rooms extends eastward behind this mass, but is not visible from the public right-of-way.
