Additional Information: | 2023: This Contemporary house was constructed c.1950 (although the main building mass is suggestive of a late nineteenth century two-story cube form, historic aerial photos indicate that there was no house at this location in 1937). The building is rectangular in plan with stone veneer and vinyl siding and an asphalt-shingled hipped roof. The front elevation faces east and is symmetrical in composition. A 1-story, low-pitched, front-gabled entry bay spans the width of the front façade (this may be a later mid-century addition); this is clad in stone veneer and contains a central door with sidelights and a large transom the follows the shape of the roofline above. Above this, the second story of the house contains two pairs of 1-over-1 windows with decorative shutters at each end of the façade. There are no historic agricultural outbuildings associated with this property. |
