NOTES
Additional Information:2024: St. Paul’s Lutheran School was constructed in 1950 in a modest Collegiate Gothic style with later Contemporary additions that were built in stages between about 1960 and 2012. The original building is irregular in plan with stone veneered walls and an asphalt-shingled hipped roof capped by a small wood cupola with louvered panels in each side. The front elevation of the original building mass faces north and is symmetrical in composition with a projecting center bay that rises above the front eave and is capped by a parapet with a round emblem at its center; below this is a stone panel reading “ST PAUL’S LUTHERAN SCHOOL.” Central banks of three one-over-one windows are located in the front wall of the center bay at the raised basement and main stories; one-over-one windows are located at each story in the angled side walls of the center bay. All windows are recent replacements; windows at the main story are capped by transoms that have been painted over or replaced with opaque panels. Three one-over-one windows are located on each side of the center bay at the raised basement level; no windows are located in the main level above this. A c.2012 mass with a glass-walled entrance projects from the east wall of the 1950 building and is clad in alternating sections of stone veneer and concrete with bands of single-pane windows along the upper level. A c.1990 mass projects from the west wall of the 1950 building (between the school and church); this features vertical bands of stone veneer and pairs of single-pane windows.
