Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. This farmstead consists of eight historic resources including two houses, a pump house, dairy barn, bank barn, basement barn, granary, and garage. All resources are associated in AHI No. 4877. The astylistic utilitarian pump house with attached windmill was constructed c.1910. The pump house is rectangular in plan with clapboard walls and an asphalt-shingled side-gable roof. The front elevation faces north and is asymmetrical in plan with a single door of board construction and a small 6-pane window. A 4-pane window is located in the center of the west elevation. The two easternmost legs of a metal windmill project through the roof of the pump house while the western legs are anchored in the ground just west of the building. All of the windmill’s scaffolding appears to be intact, but all of the fans are missing. |
