Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. THE EARLY HISTORY OF THIS BUILDING IS UNCERTAIN. THE ASSESSOR'S RECORDS SUGGEST 1890, BUT NOTHING IS KNOWN ABOUT THIS BUILDING. IN 1954, HOWEVER, GERALD BURKE EMPLOYED WEILER & STRANG, ARCHITECTS, TO REMODEL AND ENLARGE THE EXISTING BUILDING TO HOUSE HIS PHARMACY, WITH OFFICES ABOVE IN THE SECOND STORY. IT IS THIS BUILDING THAT IS VISIBLE TODAY. |
