Additional Information: | Originally built as a drive-up facility for the Bank of Spring Green. A 'site file' (Spring Green Commercial Historic District) exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. 2012- "This newly inventoried building is the former drive-Up for the Bank of Spring Green. It is located on the north side of East Jefferson Street, immediately west of North Albany Street. Erected in 1972, the one-story building faces south and is oriented perpendicular to East Jefferson Street. It matches the Bank of Spring Green in its circular form, stone veneer, and curving, smooth-faced concrete canopy and porte cochere. The building displays the same Wrightian style influence, in its single-level height, slab roof, open plan, contrast of structural materials through texture, and rounded building features. The building retains excellent integrity." - "E Jefferson St, Worcester St to STH 23 (Winstead ST)", WisDOT ID #5916-00-01", Prepared by Rachel E Bankowitz (2012). |
