Additional Information:Records regarding this property are scant. Assessors records suggest a construction date of 1902 and available tax records indicate that this parcel, as well as the adjacent one located at 406 W. Main, was owned by Edward Groat. The house may have been constructed for his daughter, Mary Elizabeth. It remained in the Groat family until at least 1940.
