NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' (Antigo Ranger Station) exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the State Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation.

The Antigo Ranger Station was designed and built by the DNR (See Bib. Ref. A). The building has functioned as a ranger station since its date of construction, in 1940. (See Bib. Ref. B). The one and a half-story Astylistic utilitarian storage building features a rectangular shaped plan configuration, a concrete foundation, a concrete block exterior, a wood trim and an asphalt shingled gable roof. Intersecting the main roof in the attic story are three gabled dormers. Multi-paned windows adorn many openings throughout the building. Five new garage doors were added in 1955. The structure is in good condition.

An associated building, the office (22039) stands adjacent. A 1980 addition to the office negatively affects the relationship of the buildings.
