Additional Information: | Photo code #2: 75BR-5/11 Excellent, large example of the bungalow style with a side gabled main block. A full width, open gable roof spans the front with a small gable roof entrance hood projecting forward from it. A gable roof wing is placed to the rear of the main block and projects beyond the south side of the main block. The south facade features separate gable roof bay windows attached to both the main gable end and to the projecting rear wing behind, creating a series of rectilinear projections which step away progressively from the original south facade. The house has a stuccoed foundation with a brick sailor course watertable and a brick sided first floor. A wide wooden beltcourse encircles the house at the level of the first floor window lintels, and all gable ends and siding above the beltcourses are stuccoed. Rafters extend outward under the wide overhanging eaves and knee braces support the eaves. There is also a rectilinear entrance vestibule under the front porch roof. |
