"Antigo's Landmarks" reports that this was the city's first hospital, organized by Dr. I. D. Steffen in 1889. In 1918 Dr. G. W. Moore took over operation of the hospital; his nephew Dr. G. E. Moore assumed control in 1922. Like the Daskam Hospital (AHI #22010), this hospital operated until the Langlade Memorial Hospital opened in 1933.
