Additional Information: | The first available plat map (1874) shows a farmstead at this location owned by B.C. Hallin. Hallin was born in 1827 in Ireland and moved to Wisconsin with his wife Gwenny and their four children between 1865 and 1867. Hallin worked both as a farmer and as a stonecutter; the family also boarded a teacher from the nearby District #6 school on occasion. The couple ultimately would have eleven children and Hallin died sometime before 1895. The Hallin family had left the property by 1900 and the next available plat map shows D.A. Jacobson occupying the property. He would remain until at least 1931. C.J. Bradford owned the house in 1961.
