| Additional Information: | MOULDED CORNICE TOPPED W/STEPPED PARAPET W/MEDALLION MOTIF. TRANSOMED ENTRANCE W/MASSIVE BRACKETED PEDIMENT & STONE SURROUND. WINDOWS AND DOOR TOPPED W/BLIND PANELS W/WROUGHT IRON WORK. HIGH FOUNDATION. MASSIVE WINDOW SILLS AND LINTELS. THIRD BLDG OF BRADLEY BANK. Above the entrance portal, inscribed letters read: FOUNDED 1888. A stone panel carved: BRADLEY BANK is centered high above the entrance portal. Stone belt courses wrap around the building. The brick parapet is topped with a stone copying. A stone cartouche with raised numbers reading 1922 appears in the parapet on the front-facing facade. A one-story, flat-roofed addition finished with brick is appended to the south-facing (Rear) facade of the building. The Bradley Bank was established by brothers William H. and James Bradley in 1888. Prominent local businessmen, the Bradleys were also partners in the Land, Log and Lumber Company; the Tomahawk Land and Boom Company; and the Tomahawk Lumber Company. |
