NOTES
Additional Information:This motel was constructed by Joseph Pasdo in 1963 as the Flamingo Motel. Pasdo was born in Wisconsin in 1909 and died in 1991. The motel is now known as the Church Street Motel and currently is for sale. 2024: This one-story motel building was constructed in 1963 as the Flamingo Motel. It is L-shaped in plan with brick and T1-11 siding and a low-pitched shed roof. The two wings of the building face north and east; each contains six units with faux-panel metal doors arranged in pairs with adjacent windows (windows are a combination of pairs of 1-over-1 windows and single-pane windows with flanking casements). An office block is located in the ell between the two wings. This contains a single door with multi-pane glazing in its upper half and differently-sized single-pane windows on each side. A sign near the roadway bears the building’s current name (Church Street Motel); historic newspaper articles indicate that the property originally featured a neon sign.
