NOTES
Additional Information:2011-
Juneau Park was initially acquired in 1872. However, plans for the park were developed in October 1870 by nationally-recognized landscape architect, H.W.S. Cleveland. Cleveland recommended walkways, spring-fed streams, drainage, plantings, and a shoreline retaining structure for this challenging location.
Juneau Park has a paved pedestrian path, picinic areas, a comfort station, commemorative signage, and statues. Decorative globe lighting and retaining walls are found throughout the park and along Lincoln Memorial Drive. The park has deciduous and coniferous trees, and is landscaped throughout the park. Juneau Park is part of the Lake Michigan Parkway North.
