NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. SQUARE CUT LOG CONSTRUCTION W/ CNR NOTCHINGBRICK CENTER CHIMNEYS IN EACH WING. MAY BE MOVED TO TAYLOR COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS [Date Cnst:CA] When this house was first surveyed in 1985, it had a Gable Ell form configuration and both the ell and the gable wing were clad in clapboards. Since then, the house has been moved to the Taylor County Fairgrounds and the taller and later two-story gable wing has been demolished. The older, less tall ell wing still survives, however, and it has had its clapboard siding removed, thereby revealing the original log cladding underneath, and its principal facade now faces south onto STH 64 within the fairgrounds.
