Additional Information: | 2011- Irregular plan, 1936 pavillion with a c.1960 addition. The original portion of the pavillion building is a U-shape with two Colonial Revival style limestone buildings with cornice returns and large end chimneys attached by a side gable central section. In the 1960s, a one-story, with a lower level overlooking the lagoon, was added to the central section, creating the current irregular form. Windows on the original portion of the buildings include six-over-six wood sash and one-over-one double-hung replacement windows. The central portion of the building, which overlooks the swimming pool, has had vinyl siding and window replacements. The c.1960 flat roof addition attached to the rear of the original building has fixed and awning windows. A set of stairs leads to the lower level that over looks a lagoon. A set of three double-doors lead into the lower level of the building. The interior of the building has a large open space flanked by open rooms with wood and brick fireplaces. Construction date from the Milwaukee County database. This resource is located in Greenfield Park, which is included in the Milwaukee County Parkway System. |
