Additional Information: | A 'site file' titled "Underwood Creek Parkway" exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. 2011- Rectangular plan, flat roof, clubhouse with vertical wood wall cladding and a prominent limestone veneer chimney located on the south elevation. The building has wide eave overhangs. A shed roof has been added over the primary entry, located on the west elevation. The building has awning windows, grouped in sets of three on the west and east elevations. Large, single-light fixed aluminum frame windows are located near the main entry doors. This building is located in Hansen Golf Course, which is part of Underwood Creek Parkway. Date of construction from the Milwaukee County database. The Hansen Park Golf Course was established in 1952 as a public course within the Underwood Creek Parkway. The small 18-hole course crosses both Underwood Creek and the Menomonee River. The resources of the Hansen Park Golf Course were completed from 1952 to the late 1970s and include the clubhouse, constructed in 1954, a maintenance building, maintenance garage, four sheds, a couple of pedestrian bridges, pedestrian tunnel, and the course itself. |
