Additional Information: | The left embankment, also known as the north embankment, runs parallel to Lower Lake Road and has an approximate length of 700 feet. This structure consists of an impervious core with a semi-pervious upstream shell, a pervious downstream shell, and an eight-inch perforated drain pipe and filter system at the toe. The embankment crest is approximately 14 feet wide at an elevation of 902.2 feet. The upstream slope is protected by 1.5 feet of riprap down to an elevation of 892.2 feet, where a six-foot-wide berm has been constructed. The right embankment, also known as the south embankment, has an approximate length of 700 feet. Like the left embankment, this structure consists of an impervious core with a semi-pervious upstream shell and a pervious downstream shell. The toe is constructed of dumped rock with a two-foot-thick filter gravel layer. The embankment crest is approximately 14 feet wide at an elevation of 902.2 feet. The upstream slope is protected by riprap and is sloped down to an elevation of 892.2 feet, where a six-foot-wide berm has been constructed and the slope flattens. |
