Additional Information: | A 'site file' (Kinnickinnic River Parkway) exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. 2016- "The National Register-listed Kinnickinnic River Parkway consists of approximately 340 acres of county-owned park land connecting Jackson Park, Pulaski Park, AI Simmons Field, and the Kinnickinnic Sports Center. It features gently rolling hills with open grass areas, a winding parkway drive, athletic fields, mature trees, and naturalized vegetation. Although originally designed to connect with the Honey Creek Parkway and Lake Michigan, that plan was never realized. As a result, the Kinnickinnic River Parkway is not directly connected with any other parkways within Milwaukee County's overall parkway system." -"S 60th St: W Morgan Ave-W Kinnickinnnic River Pkwy", WisDOT#2415-00-01, Prepared by Commonwealth Heritage Group, (2016). 2011- Resurveyed; appearance unchanged. |
