NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. This one and a half story astylistic utilitarian garage features a rectangular shaped plan configuration, a concrete foundation, rock-faced concrete block exterior, wood trim, and an asphalt shingled gable roof. Dormers intersect with the main roof in the attic story. The structure, which had undergone a sandblasting and repainting in 1993, is in excellent condition. The six-stall Ladysmith Ranger Station garage has functioned since its date of construction in 1934 as a storage facility of fire fighting equipment and hand tools. The structure is still in use today. Two of the stalls are used as a shop, while the other four are used in the storage of vehicles. Other buildings related to this garage include an office and a storage facility. (See Map Code 16/15, 16/17, 16/18).
